While there’s no update on PSO2 New Genesis framerate drops, Sega and Nvidia announced during CES 2022 that DLSS support will arrive to increase its FPS. The option will arrive on February 9, 2022. However, only people with PCs that have GeForce RTX cards will be able to take advantage of it.

To help show how it will affect the game, there’s a new video. It shows a side-by-side comparison of how DLSS support changes the PSO2 New Genesis FPS. Actions like attacking, jumping, jetting around, and running are shown off. Without support, the PSO2 New Genesis framerate tends to hover between 38-45. With it, it exceeds 60 FPS.

This is one of multiple updates on the way for the game. The early 2022 roadmap also revealed additions like a Spring event, new region, and Massive Boss Suppression Urgent Quest. However, its Summoner class did end up getting delayed.

Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is playable on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The PSO2 New Genesis Nvidia DLSS support will arrive on February 9, 2022 and increase its FPS.
