Last month, a leak led to knowledge of Rayman Legends, an Ubisoft game in development for the Wii U. The leaked trailer, which Ubisoft said was an internal prototype concept, showed off features such as the Wii U GamePad’s NFC (near-field communication) ability. Today, Ubisoft officially announced the game at E3, and demonstrated it on stage during their press conference. Take a look:
Rayman Legends will allow for up to five players in multiplayer, with one person using a Wii U GamePad, while others use Wii remotes or Wii U Pro Controllers. The player with the Wii U GamePad controls a new character, Murphy.
Rayman Legends will be released sometime during the Wii U launch window.
