Lexis Numerique’s private eye game, Red Johnson’s Chronicles, is headed to PlayStation Network at the end of the month. Today, they revealed a few more details about the game, including the story and characters.
Red Johnson’s Chronicles takes place in a crime-inflicted Metropolis. The police are part of the city’s criminal element, and private investigator, Red Johnson, often finds himself having more of a sense of justice than the police force.
After one of the most hated men in Metropolis gets shot and dumped in the canal, Red Johnson finds himself working the case, and trying to narrow down the list of suspects. Theresa, the victim’s widow sheds no tears for her late husband. Sonia, an escort girl has something to hide, and the self-professed “king of the bums,” Raoul, has a reputation for being a violent drunkard.
As you interrogate more of Metropolis’ inhabitants, you’ll start to come across more suspects, including one of the city’s mobsters. While interrogating, you’ll have to spot suspects lies and confront them. Lexis Numerique say puzzles are a part of the game, too, and they tie in to the script.
