It’s been a few months since we talked about it, so some of our newer readers may not be familiar with Cave’s Instant Brain.
Quick recap: this is a visual novel adventure that has you playing as a “legendary” reporter who has lost his memories. Here’s the intro:
The odd-looking gun in the opening movie is an “Exporger”. It’s actually a camera. Instant Brain takes place in the future, in a world of showbiz. Hataraki, the main character, gets involved in a conspiracy somehow connected to his missing memories.
Instant Brain is slated for release this fall in Japan. The game is coming to the Xbox 360 at the very least; other platforms have not yet been announced. Here’s an older trailer if you want to see more. We also have new screenshots. The one above is pretty tiny, but you can enlarge the ones below:
