Ridge Racer For PlayStation Vita Will Be Rather Cheap In Japan

Recommended Videos

When Namco Bandai released Ridge Racer 3D on the 3DS in Japan, it cost 6,090 yen. They won’t be making the same mistake with Ridge Racer for PlayStation Vita. Today, Namco announced the Vita launch game’s planned price, and it’s surprisingly cheap.

The physical boxed copy of Ridge Racer will cost 3,980 yen. If you buy a download version before March 31st, 2012, that will cost 2,980 yen. After March 31st, the download version will cost 3,580 yen.

Ridge Racer for Vita will launch on December 17th, alongside the system. Not much is known about the game at this point, other than that it will include worldwide online play, which is a feature the 3DS game didn’t have.

Meanwhile, Katamari Damacy on Vita isn’t nearly as cheap. The physical boxed copy of that game will launch at 4,980 yen, while the download version will cost 3,980 yen until March 31st. After that, it will cost 4,480 yen.
