Back in November 2019, the Square Enix Asia Facebook account confirmed that Romancing SaGa 3 physical Switch copies would launch in Asia sometimes in 2020. Now, the exact release date has been pinned down and the official box art shared via Facebook. The cartridges will be released in the region on January 24, 2020.
This will be a valid import option for Romancing SaGa 3 fans who speak English. This is because, like the Dragon Quest I, II, and III physical release, both English and Japanese will be language options. You’ll be able to choose which language you prefer.
As a reminder, this is an instance where it isn’t always a direct port of Romancing SaGa 3. Rather, this is an HD remaster with a number of changes based on the platform you are playing it on. For example, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions have cross-save compatibility, while the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions are a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative.
Romancing SaGa 3 is immediately available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices. It originally appeared on the Super Famicom in Japan.
