RPG Maker MV is coming to consoles this February in the West, but Japan is getting it in a little over a week for PS4 and Switch. The official website provided more info on its adjustments made for console.
The menu layouts can now be changed so that you can have vertical and horizontal menu layouts.
You can switch between Map Mode and Event Mode with the click of a button.
You can make edits for the title screen. In addition to backgrounds and frames, you’ll get to set the position, width, and brightness.
You can make detailed edits for the results screen with options for the BGM, display text, gauge color, and more.
You can make lengthy events by implementing up to 1,000 lines with the event editor. With about a thousands of options to choose from actors, classes, status, animation, title set, and common events, plus an additional two thousand out of skills, items, weapons, armor, enemy characters, and enemy groups, you have plenty to work with to make a highly-original RPG of your own.
RPG Maker MV releases on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on November 15, 2018. The Xbox One version was delayed to Winter 2019 in Japan for quality improvement. It’ll release in the West in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. The game is currently available for PC.
