Rumour: Super Smash Bros. Leak Claims Shulk, Bowser Jr. And Others Are Playable

Last week, a leak that originated on imageboard 4chan claimed that Shulk from Xenoblade, the dog from Duck Hunt, Bowser Jr. and Dark Pit will be included as newcomers in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The leak also claimed that characters such as Falco and Ness would return in the new game.

At the time, we weren’t convinced of the legitimacy of the leak to consider reporting it on Siliconera, but since then, videos that appear to confirm the leaked characters have emerged on YouTube, showing a number of them in action.  You can watch these videos below. (Thanks, Smash Boards)

The player in the allegedly leaked videos uses the name ESRB0083, which could indicate that these videos were meant to be submitted to the Entertainment Software Rating Board, in order to procure the game’s final ESRB rating.

In addition to revealing new characters that will be included in the game, a 4chan leak also claimed that Lucas, Wolf, the Chorus Men (from Rhythm Heaven), the Ice Climbers and Snake (from Metal Gear Solid) will be released as DLC.

Keep in mind that this is still strictly a rumour for the time being, so all of the aforementioned information should be taken with a grain of salt, even though the idea of Shulk in Smash Bros. seems quite likely and Dark Pit has already been teased once before.

Super Smash Bros. will be released for Nintendo 3DS this October in North America and Europe. The Wii U version will be released later this Holiday.
