Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie is a two-parter movie that concludes the Sailor Moon series. It covers the Shadow Galactica arc and originally appeared in early Summer 2023 in Japan. Back when it first appeared, it was part of the 30th anniversary of the Sailor Moon franchise. In its native Japan, it had an average rating of about 3.85 out of 5.0, based on 139 reviews. It was only a modest success in terms of the box office.
As one can see from the art style, the movies are part of the Sailor Moon Crystal continuum. It is a direct sequel to the Sailor Moon Eternal film, which teased the Shadow Galactica arc at the end of it. Sailor Moon Crystal not only has a different art style and cast from the original 1990’s anime, but it is also a more faithful adaptation of the manga.
