WAS: The Hourglass of Lepidoptera, one of Sekai Project’s upcoming visual novel licenses, has been delayed due to further time being required for translation, the publisher announced today. Additionally, scheduling conflicts with voice actors appear to be partly responsible as well.
“Due to the extra scenario that is still being written, more time is necessary to do the translations,” Sekai Project write on their WAS blog. “With the new anime season already in full swing, it’s been difficult scheduling seiyuu to record for WAS. It’s unfortunate but their work schedule for anime takes precedence over what we’re doing.”
Sekai say that it is also taking a while to port the game to the Ren’Py engine, but have provided a few work-in-progress screenshots for people to see how the port is coming along.
A release date for WAS has not been announced yet.
