Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, the upcoming Shantae game for PC, current-gen and next-gen consoles, has a new stretch goal in its Kickstarter campaign—at $700,000, WayForward will add alternate costumes as well as rebalanced stats and special moves.
You probably recognize at least one of those alternate costumes. On the left is Shantae dressed as Officer Patricia Wagon from the Mighty Switch Force games.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has accumulated around $145,000 in Kickstarter funds thus far. WayForward hope to reach $400,000 to help fund the development of the game, with all funds beyond that contributing to various stretch goals.
In addition to Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, the developer is also creating Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, a completely separate game for Nintendo 3DS. You can read about that game here.
