The official Shenmue III website and Kickstarter have been updated, and it has received the support figures for the game. The total combined Shenmue III crowdfunding figures are in. $7,179,510 was raised by 81,087 people.
Originally, Shenmue III crowdfunding consisted of the Kickstarter campaign. It raised $6,333,295 from 69,320 people when it closed on July 17, 2015. However, there was also a Slacker Backer period where people could continue to contribute after the campaign ended. The final tally means 11,767 people contributed $846,215 after the Kickstarter.
An update was also offered on survey reward development was released, along with two pictures. The rewards detailed and created based on survey responses are now being made. Pictures of the Ryo’s watch replicas have been released. The picture below shows the Vintage Grab Bags items after getting fresh batteries.
Shenmue III will be released on August 27, 2019.
