Just in time for December, Square Enix has rolled out special banners to celebrate the festive season in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. This guide will break down whether or not you should roll on the FFVII Ever Crisis Tifa and Lucia Holiday Banner.
Should you Roll on the Lucia and Tifa FFVII Ever Crisis Holiday Banner?
Similar to the Aerith and Barret Holiday Banner, the answer is no. These Weapons, much like Aerith and Barret’s, fill a specific niche: Ice and Earth Elemental Damage. However, since they are outclassed by Non-Elemental Damage items, it isn’t worth getting Tifa or Lucia’s Weapons on the Holiday Banner.
Especially since Tifa’s Weapon is specifically single-target, and most of her other weapons are already just that. Lucia’s Weapon does single-target Earth Elemental Damage, but Glenn fills that niche really well. One of the Weapons you get for free for Glenn is already Earth Damage anyway!
Now, when it comes to the Attire, it might be worth obtaining if you don’t have any for either Lucia or Tifa. Tifa’s Attire will increase her P.ATK, which is generally what you want her highest stat to be, whereas Lucia’s boosts her M.ATK. Keep in mind that the secondary stat for these Attire boosts the Elemental Damage of their seasonal Weapon — so that’s Ice for Tifa and Earth for Lucia.
Overall, I can’t recommend rolling on this banner because both characters already have Weapons that fit these specific niches. However, if you like the outfits (Tifa’s is honestly really well-designed), then roll away! I will probably roll on this banner for Tifa’s outfit, just because I need one for her, but may abstain in case Square rolls out another set of Holiday Banners for Cloud, Zack, Sephiroth, or any of the other characters in the roster.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available on Android, iOS, and PC through Steam. The Tifa and Lucia Holiday Banner will be available until December 14, 2023.
