Simple 2000 series brings a GTA clone to the Japanese market

The Simple 2000 series done by D3 Publisher in Japan consistently brings in interesting titles to the market like zombies fighting ambulances at budget prices. One of their upcoming games has gameplay based off of Grand Theft Auto. Simple 2000 Vol. 110: The Escaping Prisoner has players play as a wrongly accused prisoner out to seek proof of his innocence in ten hours. Along the way the protagonist has to evade the mafia and police officers by borrowing stealing cars to drive around. Stealing cars isn’t as easy as carjacking in GTA, instead players need to mash buttons to fill up a gauge to successfully get away with the vehicle. The game has a set story, but multiple endings depending on what proof you can find. Currently this is the first Grand Theft Auto style game designed in Japan, specifically for Japan.
