Turn-based strategy title, Skulls of the Shogun, is being released simultaneously for Xbox Live Arcade, Windows 8, and Windows Phone this October.

Not only is it hitting all three platforms on the same day, it also features cross-play between all three of them. Developer, 17-bit—formerly known as Haunted Temple—made the announcement today, along with a new trailer, which you can watch above.

Skulls of the Shogun was developed out of a desire to create a faster, more streamlined take on the turn-based strategy genre. You can learn more about the inspiration it took from games like Advance Wars, and even fighting games, in our interview with the developer.

Skulls of the Shogun will be released on October 26th.
