Remember when we broke the news that Yakuza Restoration was going to go anywhere with you via a Vita app that synced with the game? Sega have demonstrated the feature in a new video, which you can watch below.
As mentioned in our last report, this feature works by uploading your save data from your PlayStation version to the cloud and then down to your Vita. Not exactly perfect, but that’ll have to do. Nonetheless, what you get in the app is a very meaty, chunky piece of katana-wielding flesh.
Like the Another Life section, where you’ll be able to harvest and cook your foods. Cooking involves a mini-rhythm game in order to slice and dice properly.
The big piece fans should be interested in though is the Battle Dungeon. Here, you’ll fight waves of pirates and other foes. The thing to note is that the cards on the right side of the screen correspond to different skills which you can access easily just by tapping on them to swap between.
Finally, the gambling mini-games section, where you’ll get to choose from various mini-games. They go through a round of mahjong and you can earn money from this that goes back into your live game.
Yakuza Restoration will be out on PlayStation 3 and 4 as well as have the above Vita app February 22nd.
