Sega have shared a behind-the-scenes developer video for Sonic Boom, their upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog multimedia project. As previously reported, the project consists of a Wii U game, a Nintendo 3DS game, an animated cartoon, and merchandise.

Sonic Boom is independent of other Sonic titles, and in the video, embedded above, the game’s developers discuss changes to the Sonic characters, including Knuckles, Amy and Tails, all of whom will be given an increased importance in the Sonic Boom game.

Sonic Boom is slated for release on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, but a release date for the game hasn’t been announced yet. You can read more about the project here.
