Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is up to 4 million copies shipped in Japan, and could be on its way to outpace the immensely popular Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies in the long run.

Keen to give the game another boost, coming out of some very strong holiday sales, Sony and Capcom have announced two new PSP bundles for the game, to sweeten the deal for any unconvinced potential buyers.

You might recall the special Hunter’s Model PSP with the aesthetic improvements that we previously reported. That package only included the system itself, and not the game. These new packages, on the other hand, do include it.

Titled the “New Hunters Pack,” the bundle will come in two types – a white/blue Jinogre-themed PSP, and a red/black Tigrex sub-species-themed one. Both will be available in limited quantities and are slated for release on February 10th for 19,800 yen.

Wait, a minute…that’s the same price as the Hunter’s Model PSP, which didn’t include the game. While the New Hunters Pack PSPs don’t have an improved analog nub or higher-capacity battery like the Hunter’s Model, this is still a pretty good deal for anyone that missed out on or didn’t care for it.
