Early demos, and invitations to betas, discounts on the PlayStation Store and Minis. Those are some of the features Sony mentioned with regard to PlayStation Plus, its new paid-for PSN subscription service, which will compliment the regular free PSN.

PlayStation Plus launches later this month. A full year subscription will cost you $49.99, and a 3-month subscription $17.99. The first three months of the service will be free for a limited time. For these three months, certain titles like wipEout HD and others will be “temporarily” owned by you.
