Sony Music Entertainment Japan recently launched a VTuber project titled VERSEn, with five members debuting on November 19, 2021. The members will hold their first collaborative stream on December 3, 2021 at 8:00am JST/12am CEY (3pm PT/6pm ET on December 2, 2021). They will also use that time to share a special announcement.
The Sony VERSEn Vtuber project aims to become a cross-media series, utilizing live-streaming, music, anime, illustrations, novels, and manga to share the story of why these five girls become VTubers. The tagline for the project is “A story about girls who connect the world.”
In November 2021, a teaser trailer was posted to the official YouTube channel. It was produced by mazilla, who worked on the openings for Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia and DARLING in the FRANXX, as well as Yukiko Horiguchi, the chief animation director and character designer for K-On! and Lucky Star.
Below is a list of the five Sony VERSEn VTubers and their specific traits, as well as links to their respective Twitter accounts.
- Maru Nanamona – Shy around strangers but affectionate towards her friends, Nanamaru is always relaxed and does things her own way. She is very intelligent, especially when it comes to languages.
- Designed by Aka Akasaka.
- Hitoshiro Itsuki – Serious and hardworking, Itsuki is the caretaker of VERSEn. Growing up in a strict household made her a little stubborn, but she’s also tough enough to take on any challenge.

- Kagase Uno – Happy and innocent, Uno is the mood-maker of the project. With a tendency to get involved in other people’s problems, she’s always willing to help out.
- Designed by Shugao.
- Alba Sera – One of two singers of VERSEn, Sera has a talent for expressing difficult emotions in song. She prides herself on being able to sing even during difficult and lonely times.
- Designed by Kane.
- Kashi Otoha – The other singer of the group, Otoha seems carefree but is actually extremely thoughtful. She has a tendency to overthink everything, including her own thoughts and the world around her.

The five members of VERSEn will hold their collaborative stream on December 3, 2021 at 8:00 PM JST. It will be available to watch on any of the member’s official YouTube channels.
