Spy x Family Anime Gets April 2022 Release Date, Japanese Cast Announced

Clover Works and Wit Studio announced the Spy x Family anime release date will fall sometime in April 2022. The anime will air in two parts or “cours” through Japanese broadcaster Tokyo TV, among others. Additionally, Shueisha revealed the voice actors for Anya and Yor, as well as a new teaser trailer featuring each character’s voices. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The two companies announced the news at this year’s Jump Festa 22. Atsumi Tanezaki, who plays Emporio in the latest season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, will play Anya. Saori Hayami, who voices Ayaka Kamisato in Genshin Impact and Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer, will play Yor Forger. Both voice actors also appear in various other anime and video games, from Fire Emblem Heroes to Fate/Grand Order.

The new teaser trailer features voiceovers from Loid, Yor, and Anya, with a brief introduction for each character. Notably, the teaser trailer features new scenes and dialogue. However, the official video does not feature English captions.

Earlier this year, Clover Works and Wit Studio announced the Spy x Family anime adaptation would appear sometime in 2022. Later, Crunchyroll revealed that it would simulcast the anime at Anime NYC. Coupled with the most recent announcement, western fans can expect the anime to arrive at roughly the same time.

The Spy x Family anime release date will be sometime in April 2022. The anime will air on Tokyo TV and other Japanese broadcasters and will simulcast on Crunchyroll.
