This Starry Sky ~In Summer~ cancellation has had an effect on Otomegirlkawaii’s other projects. The fan translation patch for Starry Sky ~After Spring~ has been pulled from the group’s site. Also, it has put its work on Black Wolves Saga and Ken on hold.

The Starry Sky series was originally released for Windows PCs in 2009. It covers the four seasons, with each entry offering three guys to date. Each one is based on an astrological sign, as the Seigetsu Academy is a school that specializes in astronomy. In Starry Sky ~In Summer~, players pursue the archery club members Azusa, Homare, and Ryunosuke.

Originally, JAST considered localizing the Starry Sky series as its first otome project. However, it had to back out due to the high licensing cost of the series. The series has appeared on the Windows PC, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo 3DS, and will be coming to the PlayStation Vita.
