About one year ago Irem announced Bumpy Trot: Vehicle Battle Tournament as a PSP game. While the title is set in the Steambot Chronicles universe it is quite different than the PlayStation 2 predecessor. Bumpy Trot: Vehicle Battle Tournament is a fighting game where players use trotmobiles to execute combos and 360 degree spinning burst attacks. Win matches and you earn money to customize seven different parts on your trotmobile.

There is a single player story mode to follow, which stars Suburu/Luna, the character changes depending if you pick a male or female protagonist. Either way the heroine of the game is a mechanic named Paula. If you can find someone else to play with, Bumpy Trot: Vehicle Battle Tournament supports up to four players via ad-hoc wireless connectivity.

Japan enters the trotmobile tournament in July. At this time Steambot Chroncicles: Vehicle Battle Tournament has not been announced for any other region. However, chances are good since Irem has relationships with Atlus and Majesco. Both companies published some Irem’s PSP games earlier this year too.
