SteamWorld Dig is coming to the Wii U, developer Image & Form announced this morning. The game is planned for release sometime in Fall 2014.

In a blog post on their website, Image & Form say they intend to use both the Wii U GamePad and Miiverse, but just how they’ll end up incorporating them into the game hasn’t been decided yet.

SteamWorld Dig was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was then made available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Vita.

At present, Image & Form are working on three new games, one of which is confirmed to be in development for the Nintendo 3DS and features a mix of gameplay styles.
