Marvelous already has a sales update for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. While the latest entry in the Bokujou Monogatari series only debuted in Japan on February 25, 2021, in North America on March 23, 2021, and in Europe on March 26, 2021, over 700,000 copies already shipped and were sold.
The company also clarified how it came to these numbers in the announcement, since the game only just launched in some regions. The figure takes into account digital and physical copies, as well as the physical copies in regions like North America and Europe already sent out.
Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town involves a new farmer moving to a grandfather’s abandoned and dilapidated homestead in Olive Town. Your goal is to build up the farm, build up the town, and build up a life with the people you’ll meet there. This entry also features a heavy reliance on crafting to reach new areas and material gathering to fulfill requests. There are also new minigames and areas to visit. Paid DLC that brings in characters from past games, new costumes, and extra stories will also appear over the next few months.
Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.
