Streets of Rage 4 Switch DLC Issue Fixed

Dotemu took to Twitter to announce that people can now buy the Streets of Rage 4 Mr. X Nightmare DLC on the Nintendo Switch. When the add-on launched, an issue came up that prevented people from acquiring it. (However, codes for the DLC could still be redeemed to acquire it.) Now, everything has been remedied and the $7.99 extra is there. The full game is also on sale at the eShop for $14.99 until July 29, 2021 to celebrate.

The problem initially came up on launch day. People with the Switch version of Streets of Rage 4 were unable to purchase the DLC in the eShop. Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games all immediately let people know they were aware of the issue. However, due to the nature of it, it wasn’t something that could be fixed immediately. While the add-on appeared on all other platforms on July 15, 2021, the one was absent.

As a reminder, the Mr. X Nightmare add-on includes quite a bit of extra content. People can use Estel, Max, and Shiva as playable characters. You can also go through Survival mode. More moves for character customization and equipment are also added.

Streets of Rage 4 is available for the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC, as is the Mr. X Nightmare DLC. The PS4 and Switch Anniversary Edition with DLC on the cart and disc will be out on September 24, 2021.
