Summon Night X: Tears Crown went from obscurity to in your face with dozens and dozens of screenshots.

Similar to Sands of Destruction the battle system in Think & Feel’s Summon Night game uses both screens. Nothing says ultimate attack like Royal Rendezvous or Ether Dance, right?

 

All of the party members and most of the enemies are sprites, except this 3D dragon. I’m sure Summon Night X isn’t the first RPG with sprites entangled in battle with a 3D model. I just can’t think of any other game with this unusual setup.
