A hero will be settling it in Smash today. Nintendo has revealed that the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Dragon Quest Hero DLC will be released immediately. This comes after Director Masahiro Sakurai spent over 20 minutes showcasing the character and one tweet suggested it could arrive on July 31, 2019.

The Dragon Quest Hero will arrive in Challenger Pack 2. This comes with the character, the Yggdrasil’s Altar stage, and orchestrated music tracks from the Dragon Quest series. His alternate costumes let him look like the heroes from Dragon Quest III, Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest VIII, and Dragon Quest XI S. He can use spells like Frizz, Woosh, and Zap and wields a sword and shield.

Here is the Mr. Sakurai Presents “Hero” presentation looking at the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character.

Hero will be followed by Banjo, from the Banjo Kazooie series. He will arrive in Fall 2019.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for the Nintendo Switch. A free July 30, 2019 update will also appear today and add an Adventure Mode Very Easy difficulty level, an online tourney mode, and other new features.
