Nintendo announced it will sell two new Switch 2 console bundles in the US in 2026 that pair the system with either Mario Kart World or the upcoming Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Both arrive after the price increase on September 1, 2026, which takes the cost from $449.99 to $499.99. Before that change, it typically cost $500 for a bundle that included a console and game, with GameStop even offering a custom “choose your game” one.
Given the game is out now, the Mario Kart World Switch 2 console bundle will appear first. That will show up in “late” September 2026, so there’s no exact release date for it yet. That will be $549.99. It gives someone the system, a digital copy of the game, and 90 days of Nintendo Switch Online. Normally, that game costs $79.99. A year of NSO is $19.99, so if we had to guess, it’d be about $5 for three months. (You can only buy in yearly increments.) As a reminder, at launch there was a $499.99 bundle that included this game, so this is sort of a return of a familiar face.
The Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Switch 2 bundle will show up once that game is available on October 22, 2026. Again, that means a digital copy of the game, the system, and a 90-day NSO membership. That will be $529.99. The game is a more budget-friendly one and only costs $49.99 new.
