Xseed have dropped the price of a few of their games in North America. On the Nintendo eShop for 3DS and PlayStation Network for PSP, Unchained Blades is now available $20 (instead of $30).

In this interview, we spoke with producer Hiroyuki Abe about creating Unchained Blades and chatted a bit about the 3DS/PSP sequel Unchained Blades Exxiv.

Meanwhile, Code of Princess gets a download version.

FuRyu’s dungeon RPG, Unchained Blades, has a release date on the Nintendo eShop, Xseed announced today.

“We’re still struggling to get the original out on 3DS first,” Xseed say.

One of the major issues with the Unchain mechanic is how easy it is to accidentally kill the monster that can be Unchained.

“Some publishers believe that the digital versions should be cheaper while others insist that both versions must be set at exactly the same price,” says Nintendo’s Iwata.

“We’ve been saying for months now that we’re headed in a digital direction, and that the majority of our future titles will be digital-only.”

Xseed confirmed they picked up Unchained Blades, a dungeon RPG from the creators of Lunar and Grandia.

Xseed’s tease is possibly for Unchained Blades, headed to the Nintendo 3DS as a download game.

Star Fox 64 3D and Inazuma Eleven Strikers made their debuts in Japan last week.

You may have heard staff from Grandia and Lunar plus a ton of manga artists are collaborating on a dungeon RPG called UnchainBlades ReXX.

When UnchainBlades ReXX comes up, the focus is usually on the cast of characters or smorgasbord of artists. We’ve seen all of them now, so Furyu is starting to focus on gameplay.
