Band of Monsters is the latest in Kemco’s repertoire of smartphone RPGs, and is available for Android devices today, the publisher has announced. It normally costs $7.99, but you can grab it for an introductory price of $3.99 if you’re so inclined.

As the title suggests, Band of Monsters involves creatures you can tame. Here’s a story summary:

A young monster tamer, Zara, can tame monsters using the “tuning” technique. One day, he meets a mysterious girl named Fene, also called the “Pendulum”. Fene is pursued by soldiers of Ventos, who made the world’s monsters violent using a forbidden power. To learn Fene’s true identity, Zara’s adventure with various monsters begins now.

Once you’ve got a few, you can begin mixing your tamed monsters to make them more powerful. You can also battle other players’ monster teams online. Kemco say the game has over 170 monsters. If you plan on picking Band of Monsters up, you should find out if the game is compatible with your Android device here.
