We knew for a while that Naughty Dog was developing a PC port of the game. However, it was only on December 8 that we found out the concrete date. The Last of Us Part 1 has quite a few improvements over the original game. For one thing, there are way more accessibility options (to the point that this is one of the games on TGA’s Innovation in Accessibility nominee list). Examples of accessibility options include audio descriptions in cutscenes, as well as haptic feedback for dialogue.
Other improvements from the original 2013 release include enhanced combat and exploration. The story, however, remains the same. During TGA 2022, the cast of the live-action adaptation of The Last of Us was present as well. The show will debut on January 15, 2023. It will be available via HBO.
The Last of Us Part 1 is readily available on the PS5, and the Windows PC release date is March 3, 2023. You can read our review of the PS5 version here.
