Isekai Chronicles will follow the story of the original manga, including the encounters with the Kijin and the battle against the Kingdom of Falmuth. There will also be two new stories written for the game by Fuse, the original author. New characters will also make their debut in these stories exclusively for the game.

The game is a side-scrolling action RPG with a combo-based combat system. There will also be an emphasis on building relationships within the Jura Tempest Foundation. Building bonds with fellow party members will strengthen Rimiru’s abilities in battle. There will also be city builder elements, as players expand the nation and solve the problems of its residents.
