The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Is The Fastest-Selling Game Ever On Steam

Zenimax Media Inc., owner of Bethesda Softworks and id Software, have shipped 10 million copies of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim worldwide, they announced this week. That’s about $650 million in retail sales across PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The PC version in particular is performing rather admirably. In North America, the PC version of Skyrim outsold all other PC titles 3:1 during November. On the digital front, Valve say it’s the fastest-selling title in Steam’s history.

Robert Altman, Chairman and CEO of ZeniMax Media, says to look out for DLC and a Creation Kit for Skyrim, both to be released in 2012.
