The Last of Us Part 2 PS4 Has Ellie’s Tattoo on It

Sony announced that when The Last of Us Part II comes out on June 19, 2020, there’ll be a hardware bundle to go with it. Except unlike some, where you just get a standard system that happens to include a copy of the newest game and maybe some DLC. No, The Last of Us Part II PS4 actually has a custom system and controller that will all subtly call to mind the heroine, Ellie.

Both The Last of Us Part II PS4 and its matching controller have Ellie’s tattoo, designed by Natalie Hall, on it. You can see it alone here, in a tweet Naughty Dog Vice President Neil Druckmann shared back in 2016. It is essentially a moth against some ferns.

And so, that motif recurs over and over on the hardware and accessories. The 1TB The Last of Us Part II PS4 Pro has the design embossed on it, while it is also on the DualShock 4 with it. People get the game on a disc and a dynamic theme and avatars.

If someone already has a system, then there are also The Last of Us Part II accessories on the way. The DualShock 4 can be purchased alone for $64.99. As its photo shows, the tattoo appears on one of the controller’s handles and the game’s logo is on the touchpad. A The Last of Us Part II Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset, for $99.99, has the logo on one side and Ellie’s tattoo on the other. Finally, a Seagate 2TB external hard drive will be $89.99 and have both the logo and the ferns on the front of it.

The Last of Us Part II will come to the PlayStation 4 on June 19, 2020. It was bumped back from a May 29, 2020 release date prior to that.
