The North American Xbox 360 J-RPG roundup

While the announcements at Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 transpired in Shibuya, they were meant for the world. Like Japan, North America will get Tales of Vesperia in August. Namco Bandai has yet to announce a specific date, but it should be less than a month from the August, 7 debut. Unfortunately, Europe will have to wait until 2009 to play the game and Asia will get it in the “summer”. This could mean August, but the floating “summer” release probably means September when a multi-language disc is prepared.

Square Enix USA sent over an e-mail informing us Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope “is scheduled for a global release”. So, we’re going to see it in all territories sometime in 2009.

To sum up the release dates/windows for the four Japanese developed games at the Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 here is a cheat sheet in chronological order.

Tales of Vesperia – August 2008

Infinite Undiscovery – September 2

The Last Remnant – winter 2008

Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope – 2009
