The Pokemon Sword and Shield release date was revealed at the very end of the Pokemon Direct. On November 15, 2019, people will be able to pick up the latest entry in the series. It will be a worldwide, simultaneous release.

The Pokemon Sword and Shield box art notes which legendary Pokemon will be present in each game. Zacian graces the cover of Pokemon Sword, while Zamazenta is on the front of Pokemon Shield. (Appropriately enough, the former appears to wield a sword, while the latter has a mane that looks like a shield.)

Pokemon Sword and Shield can be purchased alone or in a double-pack. Each game is $59.99 on its own. If someone gets both games, it will be $119.99, so there is no discount for getting both at once.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will come to the Nintendo Switch on November 15, 2019.
