Metal Max 4 has a class system, but you won’t find wizards or clerics in this role playing game. All of the Metal Max titles are set in a post-apocalyptic world and have hunters, nurses, and wrestlers instead.
Kadokawa Games made two new classes for Metal Max 4. The Rider class rides a two wheeled bike and is a sword master. I guess that makes Riders kind of like Metal Max knights… with motorcycles instead of horses.
Martial Artists have their mind and body in peak condition. These fighters are fast and can deal speedy deathblows with their feet. Whirlwind Leg is one of their skills which creates a tornado that hits all of the enemies on screen. They can also hit mechanical enemies with an armor piercing kick and ki wave.
Hunters return in Metal Max 4. This bounty hunter class specializes in scavenging vehicles like tanks, cars, and bikes.
Soldiers prefer to deal damage on their own with weapons. One of their key abilities is to do two attacks in a row with Double Attack and Hinata, the protagonist, can fire an arm missile.
Artists are a support class. They can "play dead" to avoid enemy attacks, repair cars with a Restorative Genjitsu, and use Adrenaline Song to buff the party.
Mechanics are specialists at repairing vehicles. While they’re aren’t good at front line combat they can disassemble and debilitate machine enemies.
Nurses heal party members and cancel out bad status effects.
Wrestlers don’t need weapons, they are weapons. They can deal damage with physical attacks like Body Grinder and an elbow drop, but aren’t great at using vehicles.
Metal Max 4 is slated for release on November 7 for Nintendo 3DS.
