The announcement didn’t offer too many details about the new Monster Hunter mobile game. It did note that it will be a global release. It will also involve the “hunting actions” the series is known for worldwide.

This isn’t the first Monster Hunter mobile game. A number of exclusive titles and ports appeared over the years. For example, the Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting spin-off appeared back in 2011. Monster Hunter Explore appeared in Japan a few years later in 2015. There was also Monster Hunter Riders in Japan in 2020. (Its service ended in 2022.) People can also play the original Monster Hunter Stories on their phones and tablets. That is part of the Apple Arcade subscription service.

As for Timi Studio, the developer’s worked on a number of IP in addition to Pokemon Unite. The studio put together the Saint Seiya: Awakening mobile game, The King of Fighters: Destiny, and Call of Duty: Mobile.

The Timi Studio Monster Hunter game is in development for Android and Apple iOS devices.
