People curious about Square Enix, Yuji Naka, and Naoto Oshima’s Balan Wonderworld won’t have to have faith, buy it, and hope for the best. There will be a chance for people on all platforms to try it first. The company confirmed that on January 28, 2021, a Balan Wonderworld demo will go live for people to test out, offering people basically one full world and tastes of two others.

We already know what the Balan Wonderworld demo will entail and, thanks to trailers Square Enix shared since its announcement, know what the story segments might look like. People can go through parts of three worlds alone or with another person.

Players basically get to see all of The Man Who Rages Against the Storm, which follows Jose Gallard the farmer and Barktholomew. People also get to see a little bit of the fourth and sixth worlds. As part of these brief journeys, they’ll get to use the Aero Acrobat, Dainty Dragon, Gear Prince, Jumping Jack, Pumpkin Puncher, and Soaring Sheep costumes that let people do things like glide, breathe fire, use machines, jump farther, punch better, and float.

Balan Wonderworld will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 26, 2021. The Balan Wonderworld demo will appear on January 28, 2021.
