HoYoVerse shared that the 7.3 patch for Genshin Impact will make the Cryo Archon and Snezhnaya Tsaritsa Anastasya a playable character. She should show up as the five-star for that patch. Her announcement teasers on social media are full of spoilers for the latest region storyline and her background.

While we’ve always the Snezhnaya and Fatui leader in Genshin Impact as the Tsaritsa and Cryo Archon, she’ll be going by her name Anastasya when used as a playable unit just like other individuals in power like Nahida and Mavuika. She holds a Cryo Gnosis, rather than a Vision. Her title is Frostcrown Revival, and her Constellation is called Autocratrix Anastasis.
The descriptions of Anastasya on social media refer to her as being cold and sad, with the Hexenzirkel witch Ioanna “J” Ivanovna offering one of the descriptions of her. The second description going over her history discusses her past, present, and future. It notes she once was a Pale Star court member and spirit under Monomakh, and she only became the Snezhnaya Tsaritsa and Cryo Archon after being resurrected by the Heavenly Principles and trying to recover from the amnesia that resulted from it. There’s even a hint as to what could happen to her in the future, with her using references to Chess when discussing what could happen with the Heavenly Principles next.

Pretty much every unit introduced in the 7.0 series patches for Genshin Impact are Snezhnaya characters like Odette, Alyosha, Vesna, Vodyanitsa, Mitya and Valeriy. The newest questlines also introduced more answers into what’s going on in the world and suggest a sense of urgency.
