.hack Versus will feature characters from older .hack series as well. Famitsu.com confirmed that Tsukasa (.hack//SIGN), Ovan (.hack//G.U) and Sakuya (.hack//Quantum) will be playable in the game as well. Take a look at them below:

As promised by director, Hiroshi Matsuyama, .hack//Versus will further expound upon the story of the .hack The Other Side of the World movie. Completing the game’s story mode will reward players with an original animation featuring David, a character from the movie. Keep in mind that Versus takes place a year after the events of the movie.
.hack//Versus will be released on June 28th in Japan, as part of a Blu-Ray package with the movie. A special edition of this package will come with a bunch of other goodies as well, which you can learn about here.
