In addition to offering Gameboy and Gameboy Color titles, Nintendo’s Virtual Console service for the Nintendo 3DS will also include TurboGrafx-16 games and Sega Game Gear games, the company revealed today at the Game Developers Conference.
TurboGrafx-16 games are already offered on the Wii’s Virtual Console service. Nintendo didn’t announce whether prices for TurboGrafx-16 titles between the two services would vary.
Meanwhile, the Game Gear was Sega’s very first portable system, and five games from the system will be made available on the 3DS Virtual Console when the Nintendo 3DS eShop launches in May.
As reported previously, in addition to older games, certain “classics” will also be re-mastered in 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. However, no further details were provided on this front.
