The first season of the Umamusume: Cinderella Gray anime adaptation focused on Oguri Cap’s discovery and growth as a racer. After being scouted by a trainer named Jo Kitahara, she and her friend Belno Light start to work toward the future and a possible nationals run and future at the main Tracen Academy. We also watch as she faces her rival Fujimasa March and potentially learns from Symboli Rudolf. The new season will pick up after she faces Tamamo Cross at Tenno Sho.

Here’s the first trailer with English subtitles.

If you’re playing the Umamusume: Pretty Derby PC andmobile game now that it’s available worldwide, Oguri Cap is available as a character and support card at launch. She’s actually the best three-star character for Dirt races at the moment.

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray season 1 is on Amazon now, and season 2 is in development ahead of an October 2025 debut. The original anime series is streaming on Crunchyroll, and the PC and mobile game is available worldwide.
