We’ve seen different Trials of Mana characters stand strong in fights before. However, new PlayStation Underground footage looks at what will happen when a player is faced with a real challenge. The latest 20 minute clip takes a team made of up Angela, Kevin, and Riesz through the Labyrinth of Ice and up to one of the Trials of Mana bosses.

There’s a lot going on in this footage. While seeing the remake of one of the Trials of Mana bosses, Fiegmund, is a big deal, the video also looks at some Class 3 roles for the party members and general gameplay. For example, we get to see Angela as a Rune Seer who attacks from a distance, Kevin as a damage-dealing and aggro-drawing Divine Fist, and Riesz as a supportive Starlancer. We also watch the group flying on a dragon over the overworld before heading to Frostbite Fields to “visit” the Benevodon of Water in his Labyrinth of Ice home.

As a reminder for when you play on your own, while Fiegmund is one of the Trials of Mana bosses whose affinity is water, he’s actually an ice-type creature that is weak against fire-based attacks.

Trials of Mana will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 24, 2020. While there’s no demo available (yet), people can already sample 11 songs from its soundtrack.
