As you might have noticed, the weekend has come and gone without a new One Piece episode. Usually, this would be something to be concerned about, but series creator Eiichiro Oda’s team addressed the situation on social media. Episode 1074 of the One Piece anime, titled “Believe in Momo – Luffy’s Final Big Move,” will air on September 3, 2023 at 9:30am JST.
Earlier in August 2023, Oda clarified that the Netflix live-action series — with which he has been closely involved — contributed to the consecutive chapter delays for the One Piece manga. While we weren’t expecting the anime to be affected too, the weekly episodes are also experiencing delays.
There’s still a preview for One Piece episode 1074 available online. As the title suggests, it will focus on Momonosuke, the current shogun of Wano Country. As the fight between Luffy and Kaido continues, the Onigashima is at risk of falling. The burden of saving thousands of lives falls on Momo, who recalls his mother’s dying wish — to rebuild the Kozuki Clan.
The live-action One Piece series will start streaming on Netflix on August 31, 2023. New chapters of the manga can be read outside Japan on Manga Plus and Viz Media, while past episodes of the anime are available on Crunchyroll. Here’s a rundown of the exact times that new One Piece episodes will be available on Crunchyroll outside of Japan.
