When Will Genshin Impact Maintenance for 4.0 Begin and End?

The time has come for Genshin Impact players to discover the new region of Fontaine and take part in the many new events. However, they will have to do some waiting. There will be regular update maintenance ahead of the latest patch. Here’s when the 4.0 Genshin Impact maintenance will start and end on August 15, 2023.

Genshin Impact 4.0 Update Maintenance Start and Expected End Times

HoYoVerse announced that this 4.0 Genshin Impact maintenance will begin on August 15, 2023, at exactly 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET on August 15, 2023. This server maintenance will last approximately 5 hours. The 4.0 update Genshin Impact looks like it will release on August 15, 2023 at 8pm PT/11pm ET. That would be 5am CET on August 16, 2023. Players will receive an estimated 300 Primogems (60 Primogens per maintenance hour).

After the server maintenance finishes, you will have to update Genshin Impact to be able to visit Fontaine. Here is how to update the game client on each of the game’s playable platforms:

• PC: Close the game, open the Genshim Impact Launcher, and click Update.
• iOS: Open the App Store and tap Update.
• Android: Open the game and follow the directions on-screen.
• PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4: Highlight Genshin Impact from the Home Screen, press the OPTIONS button and select “Check for Update.”

Hopefully, the server downtime will indeed last for only five hours. To receive the Primogen reward, players must reach Adventure Rank 5 or above before the maintenance begins. You will receive the reward in your in-game mail within five hours after the server maintenance ends and have 30 days to claim it.
