In Starfield, Polymer is a three-star exotic resource used for crafting. So if you plan on upgrading your weapons and armor, you will need a consistent place to farm this material.
Where do I get Polymer in Starfield?
You can get Polymer in Starfield by purchasing it from vendors or harvesting it from planets that have it as a natural resource. However, the quickest way to get Polymer is by buying it from the Jemison Mercantile shop in New Atlantis. The vendor sells the three-star resource for 19 credits a piece.
To find the shop, fast-travel to the New Atlantis Spaceport. After exiting your ship, continue through the UC Security checkpoint and travel north to see the store in the shopping promenade. Although Jemison Mercantile only carries a limited amount of Polymer at a time, you can refresh the store’s stock by waiting for 24 hours. Simply fast-travel back to your ship and sleep in a bed.
While Polymer can be bought from other vendors, New Atlantis is an early-game location you will visit often. Plus, the fact that your ship is so close to the Polymer store makes it an incredibly easy method for farming it.
Polymer is used to craft weapon mods. If you have the Weapon Engineering Starfield Skill, you’ll need Polymer to unlock higher-level mods for your guns.
Starfield is available now on the Xbox Series X and PC.
