Strider creator, Kouichi Yotsui, recently wrapped up work on a similar game, Moon Diver, for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. While you’ve still got Yotsui on your mind, why not check out one of his more obscure creations?

Enter: Suzuki Explosion, developed for the PS One and published by Enix in 2000. The game stars Japanese idol, Rin Ozawa, in the role of a lady named Suzuki. For some reason, somebody’s out to blow Suzuki up into pieces, constantly planting bombs on or around her. One such instance begins with a mail man delivering an explosive orange (?!!) to Suzuki.

As Suzuki, it’s up to you to defuse these explosives before they explode. We could attempt to explain, but perhaps watching the video above will give you a better idea of how the game plays out.

Suzuki Explosion doesn’t have an official localization, but here’s hoping Square Enix decide to remake or re-release it someday, maybe as a digital download.
