World of Final Fantasy is being directed by Hiroki Chiba (who was an event planner on Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X), Square Enix announced at their E3 2015 press conference this afternoon. Here are his three goals for the game:

  • The game is being developed so both children and adults can play
  • Aims to provide a “new visual experience”
  • Aims to provide a “new game system”

World of Final Fantasy is coming 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Square Enix didn’t really share any details on the game, including whether it’s a retail title, download title, or a free-to-play title.
